COMPARISON OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR SENIORS IN HUNGARY AND POLAND WITH A  FOCUS ON EXAMPLES OF GOOD PRACTICE

The issue of social services is becoming more and more known to a wide range of society, in all its spheres (social, political and academic). Social services are directly linked  to the demographic situation and all the more so with the long-term issues of society, 1 Ústav veřejné správy a sociální politiky, Fakulta veřejných politik v Opavě, Slezská univerzita v Opavě which can currently be considered aging the most. Individual governments are trying to respond more or less in the long run to the problems associated with demographic development. However, often its steps are only a current solution without a long-term perspective. At present, therefore, it is increasingly desirable to involve experts in these interventions who have been dealing with these issues for a long time, have an overview of current social systems and trends in individual
countries and are able to professionally evaluate the long-term needs and impacts of individual government actions. The study aims at the primary level in the form of description and analysis to point out the system of social services in selected countries and then present a possible
application within  the system of social services in the Czech Republic.
